Apparently you can have your cake and eat it too. I joined the Golden on schedule and did my two weeks training with a great guy named Rob. Thanks Rob for your insight and help in fitting back into life on the Golden.
Additionally I have been very fortunate at having two Staff Captains who have both been excellent resources and providers of support to both myself and the team I am leading on their behalf. Gentlemen, thanks for making this a smooth transition.
I have another two cruises to go after this one and then it's time for me to head ashore and enjoy some leave with my family and friends.
To those of you keeping in touch and up to date via the blog - sorry I have not written in a while but getting settled in here was definately a priority.
As you can see though, life is good and I am very much enjoying my new role. Please keep in touch and I will post again soon as the opportunities present themselves.
