Well, we take on our pilot (for the rest of our voyage into Bremerhaven) in the early morning hours, tomorrow. Currently it is 1630Hrs on Friday the 7th of April. The pilot will help us to navigate the waters between the English Channel and Bremerhaven.
I've been told that we will be going through a set of locks as well in order to get to the refit dockyard - that should be cool to watch.
Same stuff going on around here - not much - but schedules are being juggled daily to meet the needs of the daily routines around the ship. It will be nice once we are alongside, to have a more stable schedule in place.
A bunch of us enjoyed ourselves last night at a Wardroom function hosted by our Wardroom President. Everything from wine and cheese to board games, twister, and karaoke were had by many in attendance. Then, as usual, with the clock changes still in effect, the morning came way too quickly.
I am looking forward to a bit of shore leave in Germany and a bunch of us are already planning a trip into Hamburg. Mmmm Hamburg...sounds like Hamburger - wonder if they have a McDonald's? LOL!
Anyways, I must run for now but will post again soon. It is really nice having (right now) 'free' internet for everyone on board - don't know how long that will last though. My posts will be weekly once they start 'dinging' us for internet usage again.
Love to all...
Dean
