Home Sick?

I can't quite place it. Call it home sick, call it missing the luxuries of land life, or perhaps I am simply just tired. I was sick 1 day last week and it really wiped me out. Only today have I felt close to 100% and even that is a bit of a stretch.

It happens often I am told that during your contract at one point or another, the things from home are missed and you get "that feeling". Well, this being my 3rd contract and the very first time I have felt this way, I thought it might have been something else. Perhaps not.

I plug on, doing the job I am hired to do, to the standards I have always tried to maintain and I am still very happy with the job - don't let my above two paragraphs frighten you. Remember, I am still human and from time to time you are allowed to show a bit of emotion. So I am told.

I have a very good group of friends here, strong in pulling for each other in support and I am pleased that we mix so well.

Today is our 2nd sea day in a row, having missed Cozumel yesterday due to rough seas and wind. A bummer for those on nights as it meant no shore leave (no shore to take leave on LOL) but for me it was a bit less stressful which was a welcome event.

The "new" SECO is great, he's been here before and is a great guy to work with...don't anticipate we will have trouble serving together again!

Tomorrow is Princess Cays and then back into Port Everglades on Saturday for "turnaround". Mom/Dad said they sent off a "care package" so who knows, maybe it will be there when we get in.

For those of you with birthday's or anniversaries between November and now that I have not managed to hit, please accept my apologies - it has been an interesting 2 months on board. I will try to be more attentive to important dates in the near future as I clear up my list of "things to do". Best wishes to you all, regardless.

I will let you go and will write again soon. My love to you all, please take care of one another and I will look forward to hearing from you all soon.
