Getting ready to ship out

Well it's come and gone again. I am scheduled to ship out to sea on the 18th and have had a somewhat unique time this leave. Having thought I only had three weeks (which was what I was originally scheduled for) I booked that quick week outing to Ontario to see Jo. I had another unfortunate run in with a kidney stone while there and spent a good deal of time in moderate pain. BUT, on the up side I got to see Jo and we enjoyed ourselves regardless.

Since coming back I have been out to dinners/lunches/or just drinks with several off you and I have tried to contact you all at the very least.

Good times seeing Maureen (who came all the way from Alberta) and the others at Las Margaritas, the gang that met with me at Sammy J's on Granville Island and let's not forget the rink rat get togethers, the movie nights, and the birthday parties I have been to while home. I certainly won't forget my good friends Ron, Dan, Lannon, Mike, Erin, Farouk, Naomi, Andrew and many more.

I still have a few days left yet and have already begun to book into evenings out so if you are into it, call me and let me know...

My newest rotations have me, for the first time, joining smaller ships this year. I will be travelling to join the Royal Princess in Hong Kong and she will (over 2 months) work her way around the bottom of Asia and then up through the Suez Canal to the Med. I will be leaving her late May in Alexandria (Egypt) and flying to Vila (Vanuatu) to join the Dawn Princess who will travel down to Brisbane for 2 weeks of Wet/Dry Dock and then will make it's way East towards New Zealand, Fiji, the Hawaiian Islands and finally to San Francisco before I get off and come home at the end of July.

Sure hope you will all keep in touch while I am away. Best wishes to each of you and take good care of one another.
