Hey everybody, it's me. Yep, I am still at home. I have one more appointment to look after and then it will be back to sea. As I could not get the appointment done before now I had to pass up on the chance to work aboard the Royal and Dawn this coming contract. I will now, it looks like, be working aboard the Sea Princess.
Never worked on her either so it will again be a new experience. The permanent SECO is a great person, I met a while ago through mutal ship friends so it will be nice to see her again - even if it's only for a handover.
The Sea Princess is about the size of the Dawn so I have an idea of what I am getting into. The run is for the most part one I am familiar with. It will be doing some Southern and Eastern Caribbean ports as well as Port Everglades. It will be heading south again and cutting through the Panama Canal (which will be my first time...yay!) and then head up the West coast of Mexico hitting some familiar and unfamiliar ports before arriving in San Francisco. It is there where I am scheduled to come home.
A shorter contract this time around but better than no work at all...it pays the bills!
Please keep in touch and take care of one another. Love to all!
